Menara is next to the city, not 22 km inland like Al Massira. The 15-minute Gueliz hop is not the N8 to Essaouira, the A7 south to Agadir, the A7 north to Casablanca, or Tizi n'Tichka to Ouarzazate. Open the route that matches your hotel — do not reuse city timing on a mountain pass.
The default arrival: Route de l'Aéroport into Gueliz, Hivernage, or a medina-edge gate. Palmeraie and Ourika-road resorts sit farther out. Cars stop where streets allow — Jemaa el-Fna alleys are on foot after the gate.
West on the N8 through Chichaoua and the argan plateau — not the N1 from Agadir, and not a landing at Essaouira Mogador (ESU). Medina riads finish at the port / Skala edge, not in the wind-alley.
South on the A7 after leaving Menara. Finish at an Agadir beach hotel, Marina Agadir, or Founty — not a Marrakech medina gate. Hotel starts in Gueliz use Marrakech → Agadir instead of this airport-start page.
The A7 to Agadir, then the N1 north through Aourir to the surf village. This is not the 45 km hop from Al Massira. Villas and surf houses use a gate the car can legally stop at — boards need a van.
East on the N9 over Tizi n'Tichka — a High Atlas pass, not a motorway. Coaches, weather, and photo stops change the clock. Aït Ben Haddou is a separate pin about 30 km before town. Landing at OZZ is a different airport entirely.
North on the A7 — the opposite motorway from Agadir. Finish at Anfa, Gauthier, the Twin Center, or the Corniche. Mohammed V (CMN) sits about 30 km south of the city; say so if you are connecting, not staying in Casa.
Marrakech Menara sits southwest of Gueliz, close enough that the city hop is measured in minutes, not the 25–40 minute Temsia run into Agadir. After a European leisure flight you clear a single terminal complex, collect bags, and walk into the public arrivals hall. Rank taxis wait landside; a Navetto booking is a named driver inside with a sign, then a direct run to the address or medina gate on the reservation.
That geography is why route pages exist. Twenty minutes to Hivernage is not three hours on the N8 to Essaouira, and neither is four hours over Tizi n'Tichka. Menara pickups follow the landing, not a scheduled shuttle slot. The same waiting rules apply on every RAK route; only the road after the car park changes.
A 6 km city hop still needs a boot that fits hard-shell cases. Four adults heading over Tizi n'Tichka, or surfboards bound for Taghazout, are a different booking from a couple into Gueliz.
Economy, Business, and Premium sedans suit couples and solo travellers into Gueliz, Hivernage, or a medina-edge hotel. Three adults with airport suitcases will be tight; move up a class rather than stacking bags on seats.
Standard Van and Mercedes V-Class are the usual choice for families, Essaouira or Agadir luggage, and surfboards on Taghazout. Child seats are on request when you book.
Groups of 8–16, or larger parties quoted as a coach, use RAK for events and tour arrivals. Coaches still stop where the road allows — a medina alley and the last kilometres of a cliff villa are not coach drops.
Capacity on the fleet pages is typical, not a guarantee for every body type and bag. If you have boards, camera cases, or several hard-shell bags, choose the van and note the extra items on the booking. The price on screen is for that RAK route and vehicle.
